Refunds & Cancellation
Last updated 24 August 2026.
In one line. Cancel yourself, whenever you like, in two clicks. You keep the plan until the end of the month you have paid for. If something we did went wrong, tell us and we will put it right.
1. How to cancel
Sign in, open your account, and choose Manage billing. That opens Stripe’s own portal, where you can cancel, change plan, update your card and download invoices. You do not need to email anyone and nobody will try to talk you out of it.
Cancelling stops the next payment. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep using your remaining credits during that time.
2. What happens to credits when you cancel
- Credits stay usable until the end of the paid period.
- After that the plan grant stops, and any remaining balance stops being available. Credits have no cash value and are not refunded on cancellation — except as set out in sections 3 and 4.
- If you resubscribe later, you start again with a fresh grant.
So: if you are near the end of a period and have credits left, use them before you cancel.
3. When we refund automatically
These need no request from you.
- A job that fails part-way. Credits are reserved before work begins and settled when it ends. Anything reserved but not spent goes back to your balance on its own.
- A job that never started. Fully refunded.
- A duplicate charge. Refunded in full as soon as we see it.
4. Your 14-day right to change your mind
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you normally have 14 days to cancel a new online purchase.
Because the service starts working immediately, you are asked to agree that it may begin straight away. That agreement means:
- You can still cancel within 14 days.
- We will refund the part of the payment matching the credits you have not used.
- Credits already spent on transcription or clip generation are not refundable, because the processing they paid for has already happened and cost us money.
- If you have used none of your credits, you get a full refund.
To use this right, email billing@sermonsignal.com within 14 days of the payment. No form and no explanation needed.
5. Credit packs
Top-up packs are one-off purchases. Unused pack credits are refundable within 14 days of buying them. Once a pack’s credits are spent, that part is not refundable, for the same reason as above.
6. If something went wrong
If the service was broken, produced nothing usable because of a fault on our side, or charged you for something you did not get, email billing@sermonsignal.com with your account email and roughly when it happened. We will look at the actual billing records, and where the fault was ours we will refund the credits, the money, or both.
This is separate from, and does not limit, your statutory rights — including the right to a repeat performance or a price reduction if a service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill.
What is not a fault on our side: not liking the clips it chose. The automated output is a starting point and taste varies. Re-running a clip costs fewer credits than a full run, and you can change anything by hand.
7. Price changes
If we raise the price of a plan you are on, you get at least 30 days’ notice by email and can cancel before it applies. If you miss the notice and are charged at the new price, tell us within 30 days of that charge and we will refund the difference or the whole payment, whichever you prefer.
8. How refunds are paid
Always to the original payment method, through Stripe. Card refunds usually appear within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank.
9. Closing your account
Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account — you keep access to your work. To delete everything, email privacy@sermonsignal.com. Export anything you want to keep first: deletion cannot be undone.
