Terms of Service
Last updated 24 August 2026.
1. Who you are dealing with
SermonSignal (“we”, “us”) provides the software at sermonsignal.com and app.sermonsignal.com. You can reach us at support@sermonsignal.com.
Registered business name and address: to be confirmed before public launch.
By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not create an account.
2. What the service does
SermonSignal takes a recording you supply, transcribes it, and uses automated systems to propose and assemble short video clips from it. You can edit what it produces and export the result.
The output is generated automatically. We do not promise that any particular clip will be good, accurate, or suitable for publication — you are responsible for watching what you export before you post it. Automated transcription and editing make mistakes, including mis-hearing words and cutting in places that change the sense of what was said.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Third-party providers we depend on (see the Privacy Policy) can fail or change their terms, and some features may be unavailable as a result.
3. Your account
- You must give an email address you control, and keep your password secure.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
- One account is for one church or organisation. You may share it within your team; you may not resell access to it.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country.
4. Your content stays yours
You keep all rights in the recordings you upload and everything the service produces from them. We claim no ownership of your sermons, transcripts, clips or exports.
You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your content, to send it to the processing providers listed in the Privacy Policy, and to display it back to you. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload — including permission from anyone speaking or appearing in it, and rights to any music or footage it contains.
You may not use the service for content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that you do not have permission to process.
5. Plans, credits and payment
Work is priced in credits. A paid plan grants credits each month; credit packs can be bought separately at any time. What each action costs is set out on the pricing page.
- Plan credits are granted at the start of each billing period.
- Unused plan credits roll over up to twice the monthly amount — 200 on Starter, 600 on Pro. Above that cap, further plan credits are not added.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and are not exchangeable for money except as set out in Refunds & Cancellation.
- Credits are reserved before a job starts and settled when it finishes. If a job fails or is stopped part-way, the unspent portion is returned to your balance automatically.
- When your account has no credits, paid work stops until the next grant or a top-up. Editing, exporting and access to your existing work continue.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices shown exclude VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
We may change prices or credit costs. If a change affects an active subscription we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to break, overload, or work around the limits of the service;
- use it to produce content that is unlawful, harassing, or deceptive;
- resell the service, or use it to run a bureau service for third parties without our written agreement;
- attempt to extract the underlying models, prompts or provider credentials.
We may suspend an account that is causing harm to the service or to others. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.
7. Ending the agreement
You may cancel at any time from your account page. We may end this agreement on 30 days’ notice, or immediately if you seriously breach these terms. What happens to money and credits is set out in Refunds & Cancellation.
After your account is closed, your stored content is deleted. Export anything you want to keep first.
8. Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or reputation, or for content published as a result of using the service. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that output will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in.
